One of the things we promised Rowan when we got a new place was a new fish. There were going to be lots of transitions for him that could be seen as negative, so we wanted him to look forward to something (A home without Nanny and Pap Pap to dote on him, his own room and big boy bed, potty learning).
Since he loves animals but is unable to properly care for most,
we figured a fish would be something fairly easy to add to the household.

| We were disconcerted when he fell asleep on the way to the aquarium store. He was so excited, but his nap time won out. When we have to wake him, he is CRANKY. |

| Nonetheless, he woke and we put him in a cart. He started to get excited. |

| After consulting with the workers there, we decided one fish would be best for our 5 gallon tank. We got a blue betta fish- it requires less cleaning than a goldfish, and is blue, just like Rowan wanted. |
He named his fish "Nahmanah" because he likes that Muppet skit/song on YouTube.
