Rowan had his party on his lunar birthday. We had a few last minute kid cancellations, but the party was a rousing success anyway!
| Getting ready: cake, favor bags, natal candle, and balloon kit. |
| Close up of the dragon cake mama made. |
| Madda covets balloons. |
| Rowan collects balloons, Russell helps. |
| The party starts with balloon herding. |
After games and cake, we open presents! (hoping I get some pics from the grandmas to make more birthday posts- there is a huge gap in my coverage!) |
| Games, puzzles, and... |
| A sleeping bag! Awesome! We will totally use that! |
| Next- really cool books form his friend Tess. |
| Florida booty |
| Huge gorilla (he walks around with this on his back now!) |
| Animals! Xylophone! |
| Rowan is still carrying around the musical card and playing it! |
| Opening Aunt Bethany's gift. |
| This gift is used daily, and has made him quite popular with Madda (the neighbor girl he idolizes). |
| Russell John (hiding behind balloon), and Tamme. |
| Tamme, Tona, Jen, Sophia. |
| Grandpa Tom, Grandma Ruth |
| Jen A, Madda, Tess, Russell. |
The next day, mama and Rowan went to Kohl's and we found a new pair of sparkle shoes to replace the ones he outgrew. He was so sad that they were getting too small and was fighting us to wear those over others shoes that do fit. So we were very happy to find these! Thanks auntie Brooke for your gift card- as you can see, they went to good use! |
| The helium from that cheap tank was weak. The next day, the balloons were in a heap on the floor, stalking everyone through static electricity. It creeped the birds out! |
