Happy Oestre!

Rowan celebrates Oestre the traditional way- with chocolate bunnies, dyed eggs, and an egg hunt! (These are not Christian traditions and don't have anything to do with Jesus' resurrection, just FYI. So while many people know them as "Easter" things, they aren't actually!)

Here, we dye eggs for the first time.

The first found egg of the morning! He forgot that the hunt was happening, and I let him come downstairs and find them on his own. Once he found egg #1, it was ON!

Sadly, we lost one egg in the boilin'!

Finding eggs he would not have found without help last year. He is getting smarter.

Inside the "gynormous egg"? A purple dragon and a globe!

What's in the yellow one?

Daddy help Ro crack it.

Yay! Holiday fun!

Lots of animals in his eggs.

Mmm. Chocolate bunny. And a big Flavor-flav chain necklace.

"They're all taking a nap, mommy."

Snarfing down jellybeans from an egg.

Kinda creepy. I asked if they were fracking victims.

Cone head family.
