A Day With Esme at Fairyland and the Play Café

On Saturday, The Boop went with Esme and one of Esme's moms to Children's Fairyland- an old fairy tale theme park for kids here in Oakland. It inspired Walt Disney to make Disneyland!

It was kinda rainy, plus most of the stuff there will be better for them when they are 4 or so.
So off we went to the Play Café!

 Boopy loves the ball pit.

Update: Mister Boop had a hard day yesterday (11/2). We thought it was because he was teething- there was a little blood as the two teeth started coming up more in the lower bottom and he was miserable. We were at the grocery store and poor baby would not stop crying! He is not normally so upset, so we knew he was in pain. It felt miserable not being able to do much to relieve his pain (adult oragel, infant tylenol, and lots of hugs and kisses).

On an aggravating note, some people are really messed up when they see a kid upset in public. It's like they do not want strong feelings being expressed in the public sphere at all. We got shot the "can't you get that kid to shut up?" looks several times. Several people were sympathetic, mainly moms and moms to be. But those other people? Boo to you! Sorry my son's feelings were inconvenient for you, but I am not going to shut him up for your benefit. He has the right to express himself, and what he was expressing was pain. Guess you'll have to get your Hot Pockets with an unwanted soundtrack!

But we realized later after we got home that something else was also bothering him- there was something wrong with his foot! He refused to put any weight on it, and it was very red and he didn't want us to touch it. ACK! So we rushed to the emergency room, to make sure he was OK. 3 hours of waiting later, he seemed fine. The pinkie toe was red but he let us touch it and he would do assisted walking again. So we told them that we were going home. Sigh. We think maybe he was bitten by a spider or something? It's fine today...
