Bay Area Discovery Museum, Part Four

Not so sure about the weird waterbed pond, mom.
Next, we headed to an indoor exhibit with lilypads and ponds and such. Boopy was a tad intimidated by the "ponds", but Esme dove right in with the other kids.

As usual, Esme goes first- even with bigger 5 year olds jumping on the lilyads, she shows no fear!

Our Boop is a sensitive child- spirited and outgoing, but wary and sometimes shy. I like that about him. He looks pensive in this shot.

Suspicious tunnel...

With Dani at the end!
It took some cajoling from Dani to get him into the tunnel of water, too. Here is is, spying through our side to hers. Esme has already crawled through, but he did not follow this time.

I can understand not wanting to be entirely encompassed in water, but it does not make sense when you think how how he would crawl head first into the lake without thinking about, oh, breathing or anything like that! Strange ideas are in his head, I wish he could talk and tell me them.

After this room, we spent some time in another room, but forgot to take pictures.

Then we picnicked and headed back to Dani, Rachel, and Esme's for dinner and such. It was a first for Boop- sleeping in their big bed. We usually always tried to get him to sleep in the living room, but he was always too distracted and played instead. This time we lay him down in their bed while Esme slept in her own bed. He fell right asleep after such a busy day!

He did wake up once while we were still there, and cried because it was unfamiliar. we solved that by letting him sleep with daddy's hoodie. So when he woke up briefly, he could smell one of his parents. Worked like a charm! Anyone who thinks we are not animals is kidding themselves!

In the end, the best thing in that room was dancing to frog songs. Sorry for the sideways video, but it was too cute not to share!
